Water is precious. It is even more precious in the year 3000. In this future world, the people don’t waste a drop. Lole ʻOhi Wai is a wearable device that collects moisture from the air and funnels it into a reservoir worn on the body for future use. Inspired by the biotechnology of dry climate species such as the silver sword and the Stenocara Gracilipes beetle, the device employs tube follicles composed of alternating hydrophobic and hydrophilic materials that collects and channels water to assist in sustaining the individuals that wear it
